Sam Neill Joins Untitled Godzilla x Kong Sequel

Sam Neill, best known for Jurassic Park, is joining the cast of the untitled next Godzilla x Kong film, which also stars Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, and returning actor Dan Stevens. Grant Sputore replaces Adam Wingard as director, and the film is slated for global release on March 29, 2027. Plot details are largely undisclosed but suggest Godzilla and Kong will unite against a world-ending threat. The previous film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, was the MonsterVerse’s most successful, earning over $571 million worldwide. The MonsterVerse is expanding, with Toho planning further global investments and a second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters in development. Filming for the new movie is underway, with no trailer or synopsis released yet.
