Frisco Police Respond to Third Swatting Call Targeting Metcalf Family

The family of Austin Metcalf, a 17-year-old fatally stabbed at a Frisco, Texas track meet, has been targeted by a series of three swatting incidents, with the latest false emergency call prompting a police response to their home on Monday. Swatting, which involves making fake reports to trigger a heavy police presence, has added to the distress experienced by both the Metcalf and Anthony families amid ongoing public scrutiny and reported threats. The prior incidents targeted the homes of both of Austin's parents earlier in April. The stabbing occurred after a confrontation at the track meet, leading to the arrest of Karmelo Anthony, who has since been released on a reduced bond and placed on house arrest. Both families have reported harassment and heightened tensions following the tragedy. Police have not disclosed the origins of the swatting calls, and investigations are ongoing.
