Work Underway Transform Former Wilko Stores Into College Campuses in Sutton, Greater Manchester

Work has commenced to convert the former Wilko store in Sutton-in-Ashfield into the Portland Square campus for West Nottinghamshire College, aimed at students aged 16-18, adult learners, and apprentices. Ashfield District Council acquired the building earlier this year using funds from their Towns Deal and is leasing it to the college, which will offer courses in plumbing, electrical installation, and green skills such as heat pump technology and electric vehicle charging point wiring.
