Two Killed Four Injured Santa Monica Hit-and-Run Driver At Large
A hit-and-run incident occurred on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica, resulting in two deaths and two injuries after a vehicle struck four pedestrians on the sidewalk. The driver, who fled the scene on foot, was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes and at times on the sidewalk before hitting the victims outside a grocery store. The vehicle, a Dodge Charger, remained at the scene after crashing into a tree. Police are actively investigating the felony hit-and-run and have not apprehended the suspect, who is described as a Black male approximately six feet tall, last seen wearing a red hat and black clothing. Authorities closed Wilshire Boulevard between 14th Street and Euclid Avenue for hours during the investigation, and the community mourns the loss while police seek information to locate the driver. The condition of the injured victims varies, with one possibly critical, and there is no current information on impairment or motive.
