Remains of Missing Colorado Woman Identified After 7 Years

The remains of Terri Ann Ackerman, a 56-year-old woman who had been missing for over seven years from her home in Lochbuie, Colorado, were discovered on September 10 at her residence on Poplar Street. Ackerman was last seen in August 2018, with her personal belongings like her phone, wallet, car, and keys left behind, and she was known to be taking medication for bipolar disorder and depression. Despite extensive searches involving drones and search and rescue teams at the time of her disappearance, no clues were found until the recent discovery of her remains. The Weld County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of her death, but no further details have been released as the investigation by the Lochbuie Police Department continues. Family members described Ackerman as a loving and caring person who had been deeply missed, and they are raising funds for her funeral expenses.
