Kittie Releases 25th Anniversary EP Spit XXV Featuring Reimagined Tracks

Canadian nu-metal band Kittie is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 2000 debut album Spit with a new EP titled Spit XXV, set for release on September 19. The EP features four reimagined versions of iconic tracks including "Spit," "Do You Think I’m A Whore," "Brackish," and "Charlotte," produced again by GGGarth Richardson, who worked on the original album. The lead single, "Spit XXV," has been released along with a music video directed by Wombat Fire, showcasing a modernized and refined take on the band’s classic sound. Frontwoman Morgan Lander expressed surprise and gratitude that their debut album continues to resonate with audiences and influence the heavy music scene, especially as an all-woman band in a male-dominated genre. This anniversary release follows their 2024 album Fire, marking their first new album in over a decade and a recent reunion after a hiatus.
