Bumrah, Mandhana Win Top Wisden Honours in 2024

Jasprit Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana have been named Wisden’s Leading Cricketers in the World for 2024, marking a landmark year for Indian cricket. Bumrah not only became the first Test bowler to reach 200 wickets at an average below 20 and led India to T20 World Cup victory but also reached 300 T20 wickets and equaled Lasith Malinga as Mumbai Indians' joint-highest wicket-taker. Mandhana scored a record 1,659 international runs in 2024, including four ODI centuries, and captained Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their first Women’s Premier League title. Their performances set new standards in international cricket and were instrumental in India's recent successes. Wisden also named England’s Gus Atkinson, Jamie Smith, Sophie Ecclestone, Liam Dawson, and Dan Worrall among its Five Cricketers of the Year. The annual awards continue to spotlight the sport's most exceptional talents.
