Blue Bell's Groom's Cake Ice Cream Returns Nationwide May 1

Blue Bell Creameries is bringing back its Groom's Cake ice cream flavor to stores nationwide after it won the fan-driven Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament, which invited customers to vote online for their favorite discontinued flavor among 16 options. Groom’s Cake, known for its milk chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces and chocolate-coated strawberry hearts swirled with strawberry sauce and chocolate icing, was last available in 2018 and will be sold in pint and half-gallon sizes for a limited time. Alongside Groom’s Cake, Blue Bell is also re-releasing the runner-up, Cookie Cake, a sweet cream ice cream with chocolate chip cookie cake pieces and chocolate and vanilla icing, in response to high demand. Additionally, the Bride’s Cake flavor, featuring almond ice cream with white cake pieces and amaretto cream cheese icing swirls, is returning even though it was not part of the competition. Blue Bell expressed excitement about the direct engagement with its fans and hinted at future flavor revival tournaments. All three flavors will be available starting May 1 for a limited period.
