Knicks Weigh Trading Pacôme Dadiet After Veteran Additions

The Knicks have added veteran depth this offseason — including Jordan Clarkson, Malcolm Brogdon, Guerschon Yabusele, Landry Shamet and Garrison Mathews — as new coach Mike Brown plans to use a deeper rotation for the 2025–26 season. Because several of those deals are non‑guaranteed and New York is operating under hard‑cap constraints with an Oct. 22 guarantee deadline on certain contracts, the front office is exploring trades to create roster and cap space. New York has been gauging league interest in 2024 first‑round pick Pacôme Dadiet, who played sparingly as a rookie but has shown G‑League scoring and defensive upside and even started a recent preseason game that some viewed as a showcase. Other young players mentioned as possible moveable pieces include Tyler Kolek, Ariel Hukporti and Miles (“Deuce”) McBride, though McBride is widely believed by some insiders to be likely to remain. Several outlets and evaluators suggest Dadiet is the likeliest expendable given limited NBA production to date. Final roster decisions are expected to be made through training camp and the preseason as the Knicks balance veteran additions with retaining young talent while pursuing a title push.
