The San Diego Padres achieved a historic 21-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies, setting the record for the worst shutout loss in Rockies franchise history and tying for the third-largest shutout win in MLB since 1901. Padres starter Stephen Kolek pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out seven and allowing only five hits in his second major league start.
