Siddaramaiah Opens 13th Bengaluru India Nano Summit

At the 13th Bengaluru India Nano Summit, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized the need for innovative nanotechnology-based solutions to tackle pressing issues such as food security, energy security, and waste management. He called for robust international collaboration and a strong linkage between academia, industry, and research to propel advancements in nanotechnology. Rajeevan Madhavan Nair, a former government official, highlighted the potential of nanotechnology in capturing and storing carbon dioxide, crucial for India to meet its net-zero emissions commitment by 2070. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with the support of leading research institutions, Bengaluru could become India's nanotech hub. He encouraged young entrepreneurs to leverage these opportunities and assured government support for emerging ventures in the field. The summit aims to foster an ecosystem conducive to the growth of nanotechnology, featuring participation from numerous experts in the field.
