Antonella Barba Arrested for Domestic Violence Charge

Antonella Barba, a former American Idol contestant from Season 6, has been arrested on a domestic violence charge, violating her federal probation tied to previous drug-related offenses. Barba, now 38, was apprehended by the Pt. Pleasant Beach Police Department in New Jersey during a vehicle stop, following a warrant issued due to the recent charge involving her ex-partner, identified as K.H. Her history of legal troubles includes a 2018 arrest and subsequent imprisonment for attempting to distribute fentanyl, from which she was released in 2021 under supervised conditions. Barba had previously been involved in shoplifting and faced issues adhering to probation terms, including failing to reside at her approved address. She is currently on home detention with electronic monitoring until her court hearing on April 29 and is prohibited from contacting K.H. The court has also ordered her to cease all contact with K.H. and family.
