Dorset Moors Valley Halloween Trail Reopens After Significant Equipment Theft

Moors Valley Country Park in Ashley Heath, Dorset, was forced to cancel the opening night of its Halloween illuminated trail due to a significant theft of essential equipment at the site. This incident occurred on Wednesday evening, making it impossible to open the attraction as planned on Thursday. Forestry England, which manages the park, has apologized to affected visitors and confirmed that ticket providers have contacted those with Thursday tickets directly. The event team is working hard to resolve the issue and plans to reopen the trail the following evening. Despite the theft, the wider country park and forest remained open as usual. Additionally, a recent power cut temporarily closed the park's facilities earlier in the week, but Dorset Police have not commented on the theft incident.
