India-Pakistan Ceasefire Rapidly Collapses Amid Violence

A brief ceasefire between India and Pakistan, initiated by Pakistan’s military leadership and supported diplomatically by the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, collapsed quickly as both countries accused each other of violations and resumed cross-border attacks. The renewed hostilities followed a deadly terrorist attack in Kashmir, with both sides reporting civilian and military casualties after explosions in Srinagar and other areas. India deployed advanced air defense systems, such as S-400 and Akash, to intercept drones and missiles during Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes.
