U.S. Corn Mazes Offer Themed Fall Attractions

Corn-maze season is in full swing nationwide, with farms offering themed designs, night mazes, petting zoos, hayrides, inflatables and special events for families and groups. Echo Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch in Echo, Oregon is running $5 Fridays on Oct. 3, 10 and 17 and a Family Fun on the Farm day on Oct. 5 featuring pig races, animal interactions and celebrity pumpkin carver Roger Pope. Michigan's Long Family Orchard opened a five-acre maze carved in the shape of Lions receiver Amon‑Ra St. Brown's headstand; it runs weekends through early November and takes about 45 minutes to complete. Massachusetts' Sauchuk Farm offers a seven-acre Lexington Minuteman maze that can take about an hour to navigate and is part of a larger agritainment operation supporting the working farm. Across the country, mazes range from two acres to more than 100, with weekend-only schedules, admission packages, night mazes and reservations available for large groups.
