Millsap ISD Superintendent, Two Educators Arrested for Alleged Abuse of Autistic Student

Three individuals, including Millsap ISD Superintendent Edie Martin and two teachers, Jennifer Dale and Paxton Bean, have been arrested following the release of a video showing the apparent abuse of a 10-year-old autistic student named Alex Cornelius. The video, filmed by a former assistant teacher, depicts Dale hitting Alex and Bean throwing an object at him. Martin faces charges for failure to report the abuse, while Dale and Bean face charges for injury to a child and official oppression. The incidents reportedly involved additional victims, prompting further investigations. The school district has placed the educators on administrative leave and they are no longer employed there. The Cornelius family is advocating for justice and safer conditions for children with special needs in schools.
