Jaswinder Bhalla, a beloved Punjabi comedian and actor known for his sharp wit and iconic roles such as Advocate Dhillon in the Carry On Jatta series, passed away at the age of 65 at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Bhalla had been unwell for some time before his death on August 22, and his cremation is scheduled for August 23 at Balongi Cremation Ground in Mohali. Born in Ludhiana in 1960, he earned a Ph.D. and worked as a professor before retiring in 2020, while his comedy career began with the Chhankata series in 1988, making him a household name for his satire and humor.
