A tornado was confirmed by the National Weather Service to have touched down near Augusta in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, on the evening of April 28, 2025. The tornado, which was visible as a funnel cloud and radar-confirmed, brought dangerous flying debris and half-dollar-sized hail as it moved northeast at 50 mph. Significant damage to structures, vehicles, and trees was reported, with mobile homes particularly at risk, and power outages affected dozens of customers in the area. Multiple tornado warnings were issued across western and northern Wisconsin, with watches in effect until early the following morning. Authorities emphasized the importance of seeking shelter in basements or interior rooms and provided guidance for motorists caught in tornado warnings. The National Weather Service continues to assess the damage and monitor conditions as the situation develops.
