Critics Choice Plans 2025 Celebration Honoring Spike Lee, Ryan Coogler, Tessa Thompson in Los Angeles

Ryan Coogler is honored with the Director Award for "Sinners," noted for its groundbreaking visual storytelling. Tessa Thompson is recognized with the Actress Award for her leading role in "Hedda," while Sterling K. Brown and Jurnee Smollett receive awards for their television performances. Other honorees include David Alan Grier (Vanguard Award), Janelle James (Comedy Award), and the ensemble cast of "One Battle After Another." Comedian Jay Pharoah will host the event, highlighting the continued impact and excellence of Black cinema and television in Hollywood.
