Lainey Wilson Cast for Feature Film Debut in 'Reminders of Him'

Country music star and Yellowstone actress Lainey Wilson will make her feature film debut in Universal’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel 'Reminders of Him.' While Wilson's specific role has not been disclosed, she joins a cast led by Maika Monroe, who plays Kenna Rowan—a mother seeking redemption and a second chance at motherhood after serving five years in prison. The story focuses on Kenna's struggle to reconnect with her daughter against community resistance, with support from local bar owner Ledger Ward, portrayed by Tyriq Withers. The novel has sold over 6.5 million copies globally and is described as a transformative tale about motherhood, forgiveness, and healing. Vanessa Caswill will direct the film, with a screenplay co-written by Hoover and Lauren Levine, and the release is scheduled for February 13, 2026. Wilson previously appeared on Yellowstone and contributed music to Universal’s 'Twisters,' further cementing her relationship with the studio.
