Jets Win Game 7 in Double OT Over Blues

The Winnipeg Jets defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in double overtime of Game 7, advancing to the second round of the NHL playoffs. Trailing 3-1 with under two minutes left in regulation, the Jets forced overtime with goals from Vladislav Namestnikov and Cole Perfetti, the latter with just 2.2 seconds remaining. Adam Lowry scored the game-winner at 16:10 of the second overtime, making it the third-longest Game 7 in NHL history. Despite missing Mark Scheifele and Josh Morrissey, and with goaltender Connor Hellebuyck under pressure, the Jets overcame strong efforts from Blues players Jordan Kyrou, Mathieu Joseph, Radek Faksa, and goalie Jordan Binnington. The Jets now move on to face the Dallas Stars in the second round. Canada now has three teams left in the playoffs: Winnipeg, Toronto, and Edmonton.
