Ohio Uber Driver Arrested for Drug Trafficking with Meth in Car

An Ohio Uber driver, Robert Rose, was arrested after a passenger texted 911 reporting that he mentioned having methamphetamine hidden in a false-bottom aerosol can in his vehicle. Police conducted a traffic stop the following day, discovering 24 grams of methamphetamine—four times the bulk amount for trafficking—along with pills, a meth pipe, a digital scale, packaging baggies, cash, and three cell phones. Rose, who denied ownership of the drugs, was wearing a 'Retired Drug Dealer' T-shirt at the time of his arrest, a detail authorities highlighted for its irony. He has been charged with drug trafficking, felony drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The case is set to go before a grand jury on July 2.
