UK RB Jamarion Wilcox Charged with Sexual Abuse

University of Kentucky running back Jamarion Wilcox, 21, was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse in connection with an Aug. 20 report of unwanted sexual contact at an off-campus apartment, Lexington police said. The criminal complaint alleges Wilcox snuck into the sleeping victim’s bed shirtless, put his arm across her, placed a hand on her thigh, told her to “open your legs,” and made further sexual contact. Police say he was taken into custody, and some outlets reported he was later released on a $5,000 bond while the Special Victim Section continues its investigation. The university confirmed Wilcox has been withheld from competition, will not travel to the South Carolina game, and head coach Mark Stoops said Wilcox was suspended for violating a team rule. Wilcox is listed as a redshirt sophomore who rushed for 590 yards last season; police asked anyone with information to contact them or submit anonymous tips.
