Storm Reid Defends College Choice Against TikTok Critic
Storm Reid, star of Euphoria and The Last of Us, responded to online criticism questioning her decision to attend college despite her acting success, highlighting that she is about to graduate from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts. Reid emphasized that while college isn't for everyone, it was the right choice for her, and she managed to balance full-time work with her studies. She pointed to her achievements, including winning an Emmy while still a student, to challenge the notion that higher education and career success are mutually exclusive. Reid also noted the competitive nature of USC admissions, with the acceptance rate dropping from 12% to 8% since she was accepted. Looking ahead, Reid will not return for Euphoria's third season due to scheduling conflicts but is set to appear in upcoming films such as Killing Winston Jones and Get Lite. She maintained that people should be free to make their own choices and that her journey proves success and education can go hand in hand.
