NHL Reveals 2024-25 Norris, Lindsay Finalists

The NHL has announced the finalists for both the 2024-25 Norris Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award. Norris Trophy finalists for best defenseman are Cale Makar (Colorado Avalanche), Quinn Hughes (Vancouver Canucks), and Zach Werenski (Columbus Blue Jackets), each achieving record-setting or career-high seasons. Makar led all defensemen with 92 points and became just the ninth defenseman in NHL history to score 30 goals in a season. Hughes recorded 76 points in 68 games and Werenski tallied 23 goals and 82 points. For the Ted Lindsay Award, Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov, along with Colorado teammates Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, are finalists, marking the first time two teammates have been named finalists since 2010. Winners for both awards will be announced at the 2025 NHL Awards in June.
