Belfast Baby Threatened With Broken Glass During City Centre Car Hijacking
In Belfast city centre, a harrowing car hijacking incident occurred when a delivery driver's white Vauxhall Agila was stolen while his partner and young baby remained inside. The hijacker threatened the baby with what was believed to be a piece of broken glass or a broken bottle near Fountain Lane, demanding the woman and child exit the vehicle. The woman and baby escaped unharmed but were left deeply shaken. The vehicle was driven around City Hall and Chichester Street before being abandoned in Upper Stanfield Street. Police have described the event as "absolutely shocking" and are actively investigating, appealing for witnesses and any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to assist in their inquiries. The case remains under investigation with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
