Valley Village Man Charged With Sex Crimes Against Minors

Ivan Hernandez, a 30-year-old from Valley Village, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly luring underage girls on Instagram by providing them with nitrous oxide, marijuana, and alcohol in exchange for sexual acts. Authorities state Hernandez used at least five Instagram profiles to contact minors and often recorded the encounters on his cell phone. His arrest on March 23 followed a report of suspected drug activity, which led officers to find him with an underage girl in his vehicle. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has charged him with unlawful sex with a minor under 16, arranging to meet a minor for lewd purposes, lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, child endangerment, and possession of child sexual abuse material. Hernandez is being held without bail, and law enforcement believes there may be additional victims, urging anyone with information to come forward. The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted jointly by the Burbank Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
