China launches Blue Whale, world's first high-speed submersible

China has unveiled the 'Blue Whale,' the world's first high-speed, uncrewed submersible vessel, marking a major advance in marine technology and intelligent ocean equipment. Measuring 11 meters and weighing 12 tonnes, the Blue Whale can reach surface speeds of up to 36 knots—comparable to destroyers—and can dive to depths of 60 meters, where it can remain submerged for over a month to avoid storms and gather data.
