Summa Health Medical Group President Arrested Ohio Revenge Porn Charges

Dr. Vivek Bhalla, president of the Summa Health Medical Group in Ohio, was arrested and charged with dissemination of an explicit image without consent, a fifth-degree felony under Ohio's revenge porn laws. The allegations include sending an inappropriate image of an adult woman to multiple people with the intent to harm her, leading the victim to fear for her safety and leave Ohio. Bhalla, who has led the medical group since 2021 and worked with Summa Health since 2009, was released on bond and granted permission to travel out of state while the case proceeds to Summit County Common Pleas Court. Summa Health has placed Bhalla on leave and stated they are taking the allegations seriously but will refrain from further comment out of respect for the legal process. Bhalla's attorney characterized the situation as stressful and requested time to address the matter appropriately. Authorities emphasized that the image was disseminated without consent and could identify the victim, in violation of Ohio law.
