Firefighters discovered her body after responding to the blaze, and authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. Sobule, 66, was recognized for her contributions to music, her political and civil rights activism, and her pioneering efforts in crowdfunding for artists. She had released over a dozen albums and was scheduled to perform in Denver the day after her death, as well as at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis in June.
