Major Scottsdale Freeway Closures Set for May 2-5

Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) in north Scottsdale will be closed from Shea Boulevard to Pima Road/Princess Drive from 10 p.m. Friday, May 2, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 5, for a widening project, including the closure of on-ramps at Via De Ventura and 90th Street. Detours will be available via Scottsdale Road or westbound Loop 202 to State Route 51. Westbound Interstate 10 in Phoenix will be reduced to four lanes between SR 143 and 32nd Street, with multiple ramp closures, for Broadway Curve Improvement Project pavement work during the same weekend. Additional closures include the westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway on-ramp at McQueen Road, off-ramp at Arizona Avenue, and University Drive at SR 143 for signal work. Motorists should expect delays, allow extra travel time, and check real-time updates on az511.gov. These closures are part of ongoing efforts to improve and widen major Valley freeways.
