Alberta Teen Faces Multiple Terrorism Child Porn Charges After Peace Bond

A 15-year-old Edmonton-area boy has been arrested and charged with terrorism-related offenses and possession of child sexual abuse material following a months-long investigation by the RCMP. The youth had been subject to a terrorism peace bond since February 2025 due to escalatory behavior linked to an online extremist network known as The Com/764, which targets vulnerable children on platforms like Minecraft, Roblox, and Discord to radicalize them towards violence, self-harm, and sexual exploitation. Charges now include participation in terrorist group activity, facilitating terrorist activity, willful promotion of hatred, uttering threats, possession of child pornography, and failure to comply with sentence or disposition. The boy remains in custody at the Edmonton Youth Offender Centre and is scheduled to appear in court. RCMP have conducted forensic examinations of the teen's electronic devices to gather evidence and continue to investigate the case.
