Red Bull announced that Verstappen would skip Thursday’s press and promotional events but confirmed he would be at the track on Friday for practice and the rest of the race weekend. The team emphasized that all is well and requested privacy for Verstappen and his family during this time. The Dutch driver remains third in the championship standings, trailing leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren by 12 points after five races. Friday's schedule includes the sole practice session before sprint qualifying, with the sprint race and regular qualifying to follow on Saturday and the main race on Sunday.
