Critics Choice Association Honors LGBTQ+ Cinema June 6, Los Angeles

The Critics Choice Association will host its 2nd Annual Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television on June 6 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, recognizing notable achievements from LGBTQ+ members of the entertainment industry. The event, hosted by actress and comedian Sherry Cola, will feature over 20 honorees, including Wanda Sykes, who will receive the Career Achievement Award, and Niecy Nash-Betts, honored with the Groundbreaker Award for her work in Grotesquerie. Michael Urie will be recognized with the Trailblazer Award for his role in Shrinking, while Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff of Roadside Attractions will receive the Industry Leadership Award. Additional honorees include Bowen Yang (Comedy Award), the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Reality TV Award), and Liv Hewson and Benito Skinner (Rising Star Awards), among others. The celebration will be available for streaming on HereTV during Pride Month, highlighting the ongoing impact and contributions of LGBTQ+ talent in film and television. The event underscores the industry's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community.
