Police Charge Three Over Planned Sydney Daycare Area Murder

Three men in Sydney's southwest were arrested by New South Wales police just before they were allegedly set to carry out a murder near a daycare centre. The men, aged 18, 19, and 26, face charges including conspiracy to commit murder, possession of firearms, and participation in a criminal group. Police intercepted two vehicles in Revesby, recovering firearms, balaclavas, body-worn cameras, and jerry cans of fuel, and later found a third firearm linked to the suspects. Authorities believe the men acted on behalf of a transnational organised crime network amid an internal dispute, targeting a man known to police with links to organised crime. The intended victim was reportedly in the vicinity at the time of the arrests, and the location near a daycare centre raised significant concerns about potential collateral damage. All three suspects were denied bail and were scheduled for court appearances to face the charges.
