Walmart Plans Remodels for 650 U.S. Stores Nationwide

Walmart has announced plans to remodel more than 650 stores across 47 states and Puerto Rico this year, aiming to create a more modern and highly-connected shopping experience. The renovations will feature updated signage, new displays, expanded departments, and enhanced online pickup and delivery areas. Sustainability is a key focus, with upgrades including energy-efficient equipment, improved lighting, and lower impact refrigerants. Walmart's pharmacies will also undergo changes, featuring wider aisles, private checkout areas, and screening rooms. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to refresh retail locations and includes similar expansion and remodel plans for Sam’s Club, which Walmart owns. Additionally, Walmart is developing a nationwide network of electric vehicle fast-charging stations as part of its modernization efforts.
