Libyan Asylum Seeker Charged With Sexual Assault In Crewe

Taha Derwish, a 25-year-old man of Libyan nationality, has been charged with sexual touching following a reported assault on Nantwich Road in Crewe, near the Royal Hotel. He was arrested on September 24 and has been remanded in custody ahead of his court appearances at Chester Magistrates' Court and Chester Crown Court. Derwish is currently appealing a refused asylum application and had been staying at the Royal Hotel.
