Uber Launches Nationwide Free Prom Ride Promotion

Uber has launched a nationwide promotion for prom season, offering high school students ages 13 to 17 two free rides (up to $20 each) to and from prom-related events when they sign up for a new Uber teen account. Teens can also receive $20 off an Uber Eats order for post-prom snacks. The promotion runs from April 29 through May 31, 2025, or until the offers are redeemed. Safety features for parents include live trip tracking, real-time notifications, PIN verification, and RideCheck monitoring. Rides can be reserved up to 90 days in advance, and UberXL is available for groups. The offer is not valid in California and aims to make prom night safer and more convenient for teens and their families.
