Misa Hylton, Vado Sue Mary J. Blige For $5 Million Over Alleged Sabotage

Misa Hylton, a renowned stylist and former close friend of Mary J. Blige, has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Blige and her company, Beautiful Life Productions, alleging interference with rapper Vado's management contract and career. Hylton and Vado claim that Blige used her influence and exclusive access, such as private events and yacht gatherings, to pressure Vado into leaving M.I.S.A. Management, which was entitled to a 20% cut of his earnings. The lawsuit further alleges that Blige refused to release Vado’s completed album or allow him to tour unless he cut ties with Hylton, leaving him unable to repay advances and earn income. Blige’s security chief, described as her boyfriend, is also accused of attempting to sign Vado and warning him about missed opportunities if he remained with M.I.S.A. Hylton and Vado are seeking damages for breach of contract, emotional distress, and business interference, describing the situation as 'economic servitude.' Blige has not publicly responded to the lawsuit, which comes amid her ongoing tour.
