Browns Unlikely to Reunite With Nick Chubb

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry has stated that a reunion with running back Nick Chubb is 'increasingly unlikely' following offseason moves, including drafting Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson and renegotiating Jerome Ford's contract. Chubb, a four-time Pro Bowler who ranks third on the franchise’s all-time rushing list, struggled to regain form during a limited 2024 return after a severe knee injury in 2023. The Browns are now focusing on younger running backs, signaling a probable end to Chubb's tenure in Cleveland. Berry acknowledged the emotional difficulty of moving on from a beloved player but emphasized the need for objective roster decisions. While Berry has not completely ruled out a reunion, he indicated that a return by Chubb is unlikely in the short term.
