Washington Driver Dies After Car Crashes Into Ravine Off Ohio Highway

A 55-year-old man from Tacoma, Washington, died after his car veered off the Interstate 90 east spur and crashed into a heavily wooded ravine in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Several 911 callers reported the vehicle leaving the roadway around 9 p.m., and upon arrival, officers found the overturned 2018 Lexus with the driver trapped inside. Rescue efforts were challenging due to the dense brush and the vehicle's deep location in the ravine, but firefighters extricated the man and transported him to Hillcrest Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which remains under investigation with assistance from local authorities. The driver's identity has been withheld pending notification of next of kin, and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
