Multiple States Kick Off 250th Anniversary Celebrations for Paul Revere's Ride

States across the U.S. are commemorating the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride and the beginnings of the American Revolution with a series of events and ceremonies. Arizona launched its 'America250' celebration featuring Indigenous performances, historical reenactments, and a statewide initiative to engage the public leading up to the nation's 250th birthday. In Alabama’s American Village, a symbolic 'Two Lights for Tomorrow' ceremony invoked the legacy of Revere’s ride, emphasizing the need to recommit to the values of liberty and civic engagement. Montana’s Capitol hosted a similar celebration, using lanterns to recall the historic signal of 1775 and encouraging education and reflection on America’s founding. Utah also marked the occasion with public events, searchlights, and displays of lantern replicas, connecting local heritage with the national story.
