Mario Flythe Sentenced in Multi-State Dogfighting Operation

Mario Damon Flythe, a 50-year-old man from Glen Burnie, Maryland, has been sentenced to six months in federal prison and additional penalties for his involvement in a multi-state dogfighting conspiracy linked to a former Pentagon official. Flythe operated a kennel called 'Razor Sharp Kennels,' where he bred and trained dogs specifically for fighting, utilizing cruel methods and illegal substances. His activities were uncovered through investigations that began in 2018, initiated after the discovery of two deceased dogs. Flythe's communications with other dogfighters, conducted via apps like WhatsApp and Telegram, revealed extensive planning for dogfights and discussions about law enforcement scrutiny. Seven pit bulls were rescued from his property during a search in September 2023, where they were found in poor conditions.
