Akron Man Rescued from Chimney, Faces Charges for Attempted Burglary
In an unusual incident in Akron, Ohio, a 29-year-old man named Jabin Cuckler was arrested after he got stuck in a chimney while attempting to break into the Minority Behavioral Health Group. Police responded to reports of a suspicious individual trying to enter the closed facility on Saturday afternoon. After an extensive search, officers used a drone to locate Cuckler trapped inside the chimney, leading to a three-hour rescue operation by the Akron Fire Department. Once freed, he was taken to a hospital for evaluation and later booked into the Summit County Jail on charges of breaking and entering and criminal trespassing. Cuckler initially claimed he sought refuge in the chimney due to feeling threatened, but authorities have charged him for the attempted break-in. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
