Juvenile Injured, Gang Associate Arrested in Fairfax Police Shooting

A juvenile boy was shot and injured by a Virginia State Police trooper during a struggle following a traffic stop incident in Fairfax County early Tuesday morning. After a vehicle fled a police traffic stop, officers traced it to a residence where they encountered a juvenile near the suspect vehicle and ordered him to stop; he fled on foot and was tackled, leading to a single shot being fired. The juvenile was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is under investigation for unauthorized use of a vehicle. Authorities confirmed the suspect linked to the vehicle, described as a known gang associate, is in custody for outstanding warrants, with further charges pending.
