Trump's Favorability Among Hispanic Adults Drops Sharply Since January
President Donald Trump's favorability among Hispanic adults has dropped significantly since the beginning of 2025, as revealed by multiple AP-NORC polls. The percentage of Hispanic adults with a favorable view of Trump declined from around 44% before he took office for his second term to about 25% in October 2025, while those believing the country is headed in the wrong direction increased to 73%. Economic concerns, including high costs of groceries, housing, and healthcare, continue to weigh heavily on Hispanic voters, despite Trump's promises of economic revitalization. Immigration policies under Trump's administration, including increased raids and efforts to deport undocumented immigrants, have also caused unease within the Hispanic community, with some linking immigration enforcement to rising costs. Although Hispanic voters were pivotal in Trump's 2024 election victory and helped the GOP regain control of Congress, this declining support poses potential challenges for Republicans in future elections. This shift underscores growing financial stress and dissatisfaction among Hispanics, even among those who supported Trump initially, signaling a warning for the current administration and the GOP.
