Woman charged with murdering father in Phoenix

Reilan Anderson, 33, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault after allegedly shooting and killing her father, Reginald Anderson, 61, in a west Phoenix neighborhood. The incident occurred just before noon, when police responded to reports of gunfire and found Reginald Anderson dead at the scene with at least one gunshot wound. An uninjured woman, described as a victim, was also present at the scene. Witness interviews and other evidence led police to identify Reilan Anderson as the suspect, though she denied involvement during a police interview. She was later apprehended in Maricopa and booked into jail. Police stated that no other suspects are at large and the investigation remains ongoing.
