Aldi Opens First Two Stores in Las Vegas, Expands to 39th State

Aldi has launched its first two stores in the Las Vegas area, marking its entry into Nevada and bringing the total number of states it operates in to 39. The new locations in Henderson and North Las Vegas are part of Aldi's aggressive expansion plan, which aims to open over 220 new stores this year and reach 800 total U.S. locations by the end of 2028. The company emphasizes affordability, quality, and simplicity, with more than 90% of store products being Aldi-exclusive brands, allowing significant savings for customers—up to 36% on average grocery bills. Unique features such as a quarter-based cart system help keep operational costs low, translating into lower prices, which is especially appealing in Nevada, a state known for high grocery costs. High shopper turnout at the grand openings demonstrated strong community interest, with customers lining up overnight and receiving promotional giveaways. Aldi plans to continue its Southwest expansion, with additional stores set to open in Las Vegas and other states like California and Arizona.
