Brooklyn Earick Withdraws £4.5bn Tottenham Takeover Bid After Owners Reject Sale
American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has officially withdrawn his £4.5 billion takeover bid for Tottenham Hotspur after the club's owners, the Lewis family and ENIC, made it clear they were not interested in selling the club under any circumstances. Earick's proposal included £3.3 billion for the club acquisition and an additional £1.2 billion for transfers, wages, and associated fees, but despite detailed discussions, the Lewis family reiterated their long-term commitment to the club and rejected all offers. This marks the third failed attempt to acquire Tottenham since the departure of former executive chairman Daniel Levy, with previous bids from Amanda Staveley's PCP International Finance and Firehawk Holdings also withdrawn. Tottenham Hotspur's board thanked Earick and other interested parties for their constructive engagement while affirming that the club is no longer in an offer period under the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Earick and his consortium have reserved the right to acquire shares in the future, keeping the door open for potential investment opportunities. The withdrawal underscores the Lewis family's firm stance on maintaining control of the club amidst heightened acquisition interest following Levy's exit.
