Netflix Streams 36 Hitchcock Films, NY Screening Series

Netflix is honoring Alfred Hitchcock with a major tribute, offering 36 of his classic films for streaming in the US starting June 1 and hosting a six-week showcase at New York City's Paris Theater. The event, 'HITCH! The Original Cinema Influencer,' co-presented with the New York Film Critics Circle, runs from May 16 to June 29 and will feature 36 Hitchcock-directed films, many shown in 35mm. In addition to Hitchcock’s work, the series includes films that influenced him and those inspired by his legacy, with a special focus on contemporary filmmakers such as Jordan Peele and Zach Cregger. Iconic titles like Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, and Vertigo are included in both the streaming and theater lineups. The showcase aims to highlight Hitchcock's lasting impact on cinema and popular culture. Tickets for the Paris Theater screenings are now available.
